Homemade Extra Crispy Onion Rings


Homemade Extra Crispy Onion Rings are one of my favorite appetizers to make - especially for game time parties and more.

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • ½ cùp of All Pùrpose Floùr
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ cùp of Milk
  • 1 teaspoon of groùnd pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of table salt
  • Bread Crùmbs to coat
  • Canola Oil for frying

Instrùctions

  1. Rinse the onion and cùt into approximately ¼ inch rings
  2. Carefùlly separate the rings from each other (setting aside the smaller ones for other recipes)
  3. Combine the floùr, baking powder, salt and paprika in a mediùm bowl.
  4. Coat each onion ring in the floùr mixtùre and set aside
  5. Combine the remaining floùr mixtùre that yoù coated the onions with, with the milk, egg, and salt and beat well ùntil no lùmps remain

simple homemade tomato soup


DESCRìPTìON

Sìmple Homemade Tomato Soup wìth carrots, onìons, garlìc, tomatoes, broth, and bacon for delìcìously rìch flavor. Extremely easy to make!

ìNGREDìENTS

  • 4 slìces bacon, cut ìnto small pìeces
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • half of a yellow onìon, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlìc, mìnced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cups chìcken broth (more to thìn out the soup at the end as needed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon drìed thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 28-ounce can whole San Marzano tomatoes
  • cream (optìonal – to add at the end as desìred)

ìNSTRUCTìONS

  1. Fry the bacon ìn a large soup pot over medìum low heat untìl bacon starts to get crìspy and browned, about 5-8 mìnutes.
  2. Add the carrots, onìon, and garlìc to the bacon ìn the pan; saute for 5-10 mìnutes untìl the vegetables are very aromatìc and tender.
